The last 8 weeks

Well we are about a month and a half away from welcoming our little gril to our family. We are all very excited to meet her and have her join us. The only problem I kinda become crazy at this point. I feel like I am constantly trying to feel her move and when I can't I get super nervous... Anyone else have these irrational fears?
Thankfully their is plenty to keep me busy, Christmas, holiday stuff, nesting like crazy!

So we anticipate the next 8 weeks to fly by...

Politics

So if you know my hubby you know he is a very conservative guy. He loves watching political things and is constantly watching debates commentary whatever...
Well tonight he was watching the republican debate and he likes mittens as we call him around here. Rye asked him why do you like him Dad? He explained why he liked him and said how neat it would be to have him in the white house.
Rye's reply,"Wouldn't it be cooler if a woman was the president?"
Ben was a little stumped to a reply to his daughter...

Three little bears

Made our annual trip to the state fair this week. It is fun for me for about an hour... The kids like the animals which is fun. We always make a trip to the big yellow slide making it the highlight of the night.
The fair is always a fun place to watch people and buy the most interesting things. I walk around thinking who buys this stuff... Strange home decor not to mention the hot tubs do people actually buy those?
That sounds kinda grumpy sorry... We had a good time and our 3 hours spent at the fair was well received with the kids. Until next year!

Not what fun is...

We brought the fam to lagoon today. Ben takes the older kid I get the younger and we split for awhile to do rides. Well mike did not want to ride anything alone today. He was not happy. I think he was a little scared to ride all alone. This was the picture I got from the first ride.
Thankfully Max came to the rescue and he decided he could ride anything with his big brother.

S'mores please...

Last Sunday we spent the night at the barn. The youth from

our church last year put in a fire pit for a service project. We finally broke it in and it was awesome. We had so much fun eating delicious harshmellows like mike calls them. We were even able to throw in a couple songs around the camp fire. It was a fun night.

Summer Getaways...

We are to lucky to have a fun place to go hang out with our families. This weekend we went up to the ranch to hang out. We always have a great time and the kids never want to leave. They can ride bikes endlessly. Since at home we live on a hill and it isn't as much fun. We usually have so much food it is ridiculous. Just a fun place to be. Since Ben had the day off on Monday we decided to go on a hike. We are not a hiking family but we thought it is time to start right? Well we headed up the road on the ranch and had a great time. After driving for about 20 minutes we got out and did our little hike. It turned into about 3 miles which is pretty far for some of the little legs in our family... Since at the bottom of the mountain on the way back up Mikey declared,"After tomorrow lets never come here again!" Poor guy was tired and most of the plants were as tall as him.
After we were heading home we saw this beauty bathing is a pond. He was so beautiful and we were able to watch him for about 5 minutes. Sure made the day every more memorable. Can't wait til our next adventure.

Disney World

It has now been just over a week since we returned from Disney World...
I think I am now starting to recover. It was a fun vacation but I was TIRED! We went to all the parks and made a trip to Universal just to see Harry Potter. The Harry Potter ride is by far the best ride I have EVER been on it was awesome. It was also fun at Universal since they have some serious roller coasters. I have never really been on anything like that and it was fun.
The kids had a blast. They all cried on the last day when we left. The last day at Magic Kingdom we stayed for the fireworks show and it was worth it. They do this show on the castle with projectors and it is so fun to watch. The entire castle transforms and it made all the sitting and waiting for the show to start worth it. Stupid Disney gets me everytime. I didn't think I'd be that parent that loved Disney with my kids but I do. As the kids are growing and I can see that, I really appreciate the time we take out of life to spend time together. It was such a fun trip for our family.

The hotel wasn't the best but I have learned when the kids are little they don't care it is different from their house. They think everything is cool. It was a lesson for me that we can always go with the cheaper hotel for now.

We ate way too much Mickey Ice Creams and tried to see everything we could. It was a great trip.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! The kids have been on spring break and we have had a fun week. This morning we hunted eggs and baskets and ate way to much candy. Max proclaimed it was the best Easter ever, since the Bunny left some dollars in a couple eggs!
Wish I was excited so easily. Ben took this picture of the kids after church and I love it! Happy Easter and hopefully happy spring! In Utah ya never know the what ya get. Not happy with the weather wait five minutes.

St Patrick

I don't really know anything

about saint Patricks day, other than you must wear green. This year the kids and I had a fun day making cupcakes. I have seen these rainbow cupcakes and decided to try them. They were easy and the kids loved eating

them.

Ryley Bug is Growing up!

Its a little late but I want to record some of Ryley's Birthday. Rye turned eight in January and was Baptized in February. She is such a great kid and I am so happy she is the first of the kids. She is kind and very thoughtful of others.

For her Birthday she wanted more than anything to get her ears pierced. She got her wish and I took her on her birthday to get them done. She was super brave and didn't even flinch. She has loved her new earrings and loves changing them and picking them out to match her outfits. I took her to dinner after the ear piercing. (This wasn't our best week as a family. Ben was sick with strep throat and we would later find that all the kids had strep throat. Yes that made me an awesome mom!) Dinner was just the two of us and it was fun.

I gave Rye a little interview on her birthday here are her answers...

Mikey gets hungry

I was feeding the baby today and mike decided he was hungry. What does a three year old feed himself? A nice cold bowl of butter. Mike climbed in the fridge pulled out the butter put it in his bowl and dug in. Yum. Luckily I was able to convince him to eat something else instead.

Marcus baby

Maybe I was doing it wrong the last two kids who knows. Marcus is really making me question my mothering skills. He is the most laid back baby I have ever had. This kid goes right to sleep. He is content just about anywhere and happy as can be. With Max and Mike we had to always cry it out. It was hard on me and I hated it they would cry and cry. Seriously we are talking crying for like and hour til they would give it up. Moral of the story I have either been doing something wrong or Heavenly Father is sending me the calm before the storm...
